Only trying to guide you in the right direction- certainly copies of what’s on the ancestry site will not suffice - best thing to do is to start the process and see how you get on

My wife has corrected me and says that as you are claiming citizenship through a Grandparent you will be required to register your birth in Ireland as a Foreign Birth and this costs around €200...

...

Hi yes I will go via Foreign Birth Register, I realised screen shots etc would not be sufficient so will have to obtain certified copies of any documents required to prove my grandmothers Irish status together with proof of my relationship to her.it’s not a five minute job but hopefully once completed will enable us to live in Spain. Pre brexit I would not have had any issues — things have changed now!  Thanks for your comments

Hi, although my father in law lived in Arboleas  for  many years he’s now back in uk so could not really answer this. What would be a fair monthly outgoing currently for a couple, eg food, pool, air con  etc. other utilities and charges, I’m vegetarian and we do not drink alcoh...

...ol!

Thanks

We live in Spain and are both vegetarians...... Vegetables especially fruit, are not that cheap here! I am back in the UK for a short holiday and here you can buy strawberries/ raspberries/ blueberries so cheap a punnet, where as in Spain they can be 3 euros for a similar size! Same goes for avocado's 2 euros each in Spain! Does not make sense! The only cheap thing here is alcohol...dirt cheap... but that will not help you!   As for the bills etc, that depends on where you are/ type of heating/ utility company you are with etc....So no easy way to tell you that!
