Hi my husband and I are looking to purchase a mobile home on a residential site in Spain...to retire to hopefully before the end of December this year...my questions are: could we apply for residency with living in a mobile home? And would we need masses of money to live in Spain ....sorry for the questions 😊 any help would be much appreciated xxx

Has anybody managed to make an appointment with the Social Security Office at Huercal-Overa via the automated telephone number recently?

My mum finally sorted her residency but now needs her health card (she has her S1). She went to the INSS at Huercal-Overa to try to make an appointment but was told she would have to 'phone for one. She couldn't understand the options on the automated service (too fast) so enlisted the help of a kind Spanish teacher. However, despite many attempts even she has not been able to get through to make an appointment (busy, not available, ring back etc etc).

Any advice please??

having already received a revised appointment from Mon to Tues today I was turned away from the centre because it is closed because of the Covid outbreak and they said they couldn't use the computers! I had arranged an interpreter and she was amazed that they hadn't contacted anyone to tell them not to come. it also stops her earning any money whilst they are closed. they said nothing except emergencies would be seen for at least the next month.
