I have 8 Solar panels and a 6 k inverter is it possible to get it registered to get an electric company to buy back the extra units produced by the panels.

Check your present supplier as first port of call. They should have a scheme, I believe all suppliers have to.

Is your installation registered?  Our installers (ecocorp) handled all our registration and checked best companies for buy back for us.  I think our Spanish neighbours contacted them as their installers didn't do this, if I recall correctly they will do it for a small fee, worth a phone call anyway.  Regards Karen

Not registered the company said they have to explain why we only have 8 panels when we have a 6 k inverter we intend to add another 4 at a later stage.

To be fully legal you must have them registered. Your installer should do this. Your inverter must be configured NOT to feed back into the grid until everything is finalised.

So will you.

Leading to numerous delays. Can only suggest you get the company to install the rest, then let them apply.

I've just had 12 panels installed very professionally by Fontalmanzora in Albox. They helped me change my supplier from Endesa to Iberdrola and registered my installation. The only issue was that my place is classed as rural so we had to re-submit using different forms and pay an additional €121. At the moment the Grid is receiving my excess for free but I hope this is resolved in February. The installation was carried out in late December. I have an app which shows what is being produced at that moment in time/that day/that month or in total and it shows what I used and what went to the grid.

We also live on rural land. Panels installed August 21. Because of the rural aspect, the application got buried. We paid the 121 in July 22, it got buried again. After a lot of chasing we finally got 'payback' from mid November 22. Reckon we gave foc electricity for over 1000€ (in payback) to supplier last year. Can only recommend to keep chasing, Endesa who controls this are terrible.
