Only advisory not compulsory. Stick to the cheaper and easier Antigen test.

I have really struggled to find proper official info on this. So it is definitely ‘advisory’ and Brits won’t be refused re-entry for not having a PCR? I have booked an antigen LFT via video call and brought the test kit out with me having already paid for it so would rather not pay again obviously!! :-)

You can get an antigen at Alicante airport I got one back in may, €29 euro either book or just turn up, takes just under an hour to get the email with result, it's in the departure hall where check in is, just up from the Ryanair ticket desk.

Yes I have an antigen booked and sorted. Just want to make 100% sure I don’t need a PCR test. UK government advice typically super vague!!

No you don't, they would like you to, but they can like all they want! Theres plenty id like our government to do, but they won't pmsl. You'll be fine, I was denied boarding because I'd not taken a test that day, even though Ryanair's email said only a test was needed for Ireland and uk was just a locator form, I took a 29 euro antigen in the airport had to buy another ticket for a different destination and boarded fine with the proof of a neg result.

No you don't  just something they would like you to do. Presently on ferry back to UK, no issue whatsoever with the antigen test.

No you don't need a PCR test to get on the plane. My daughter flew back last Sunday and I have two friends returning tomorrow (9th August). You have your antigen test sorted so you'll need the printout they give you. You also need a printout of your passenger locator form (or the digital version on your phone). The locator form asks for the ref number of the PCR test that you will take on Day 2 of your return. I'm assuming you have had both vaccinations so you will need proof of this before you can board.
