Looking for general assistance on areas to live. Initially planning to rent with a view of buying a property. This will be for myself, my husband and sister and wondering what the first thing is we should do. When restrictions are lifted, we are looking to fly out to visit Almeria, hire a car in order to discover the various areas. We would like to be pointed in the right direction regarding for eg, Estate Agents/Letting Agents/Spanish Law etc. Any advice would be greatly appreciated.

Hi Sue

Do you intend living here permanently?

Hi Sue

Well I don't know what your circumstances are but if you plan on moving here 'eventually' it would be worth considering trying to do it before the end of this year. At the very least rent somewhere and get on the Padron.

There are posts on here that will point out how much more difficult it is going to be after the Withdrawal Agreement finishes 31/12/2020. This Topic is worth a read.

Regulations concerning Residencia as of July 6
Hope all goes well.

Sue, I think you need to rent off season for about 5 weeks in whatever area you intend buying. It'll be money well spent and you will learn much and it could be the cheapest learning you ever did.
