Dear Forum readers

I wonder if anybody can help regarding utility suppliers.

I am currently with Endesa for our electric in the Vera area and I was wondering if anybody would know of any alternative suppliers that may have cheaper standing charges.

we are finding that for a two month period standing charges come to E61.00.

Thanking you all in advance for any information.

Kind regards

Mark

Hiya Mark; I use Iberdrola for both home and business.  You can download an App for them as well which allows complete control of your account from your phone.

One of the options they offer is the Elige 8 Horas plan, which allows you to choose which 8 hours a day you’d like to have cheap rate applied.  Doesn’t have to be the same every day and doesn’t have to be 8 contiguous hours i.e. you can choose 7am - 8am, 12pm - 4pm, 7pm - 9pm etc - or any combination you choose.

To get control of your electricity bill, first and for all you'll need to get down your 'potencia contratada'. This is the total amount of kW you can switch on at a time. So calculate what's the need you have and reduce the amount to that on your contract.

So if there's a need to switch several electric devices on at the same time, that's what you'll need. But if you'll do it smart, you'll see there's no need to get everything on at the same time. Put a time-switch on your waterheater, so it's warming up during the night, when you're asleep. Think it really through how you can adapt your lifestyle to reduce your electrical consumation.

I got my bills reduced by half, just thinking it through well. And this isn't depending from the supplier, this is a general way in Spain to contract electricity.

Good morning.  Email “SiCompare.es”. You will get the correct email address on Google.  All they require is a copy of your most recent bill.  If Endesa is the same a iberdrola, SiCompare can see your consumption for the last 12 months.  SiCompare will reply promptly with their recommendation and how much you will save.  They do all the rest.  We now use Fortuluz.  What a reduction in costs.  You also get the same  “cheap rate hours” during the night.  Hope this helps.  Regards ....

this helps.
