Taxes diputacion Provincial de Almeria

My quarterly basura payment went out by direct debit on Monday - €39.48 -  for my house in Vera Playa, which is paid to the Diputación.  I see you say that you pay basura separately but maybe you have set up a direct debit also?  I've never, in 19 years of living in Spain, received an invoice for basura

Thank you for your reply. We think it should indeed be the basura. 

We were a bit confused as we have been to the office last week in Garrucha, as we were wundering why we didnot have received a debit earlier. But it seemed that something has gone wrong. So therefore we have paid by creditcard the outstanding amount. This was for the last three months of 2023.

But as this debit came so quickly after our own payment, we were wundering what this could be, not realizing that the debiting has gone right this time. This debit should then be for the months jan-march. Is the basura charged at the beginning of each quarter?

Vera Ayuntamiento is very random when it charges.  Sometimes in the first month and other times not until the very end of the 3 month period.

Glad you have sorted it though.
