I took a hearing test at Multiopicas in Garucca and discovered I had 50%  loss in left ear and 40% in right ear the audiologist suggested that I needed 2 hearing aids at e2000 each. Can someone suggest a cheaper option ?

hi Simon

Now I don't know whether this will help because I haven't tried it. But I do intend to.

I have tinnitus. I am not deaf but I need some amplification to overcome the inherent noise I have.

I have tried hearing aids but found them to actually make matters worse for me over a period of time.

What I have found out though are that the new Apple AirPod Pros earphones have a facility to be able to sync with an inbuilt Hearing App in an iPhone. Apparently the phone acts as a mic and Bluetooths the sound to the AirPod Pros with which you can control volume. I don't know if this is something you'd want to use all the time. And of course you can listen to music as well.

Its certainly something I'm going to try when I can get the AirPods. And at £250 a damn sight cheaper and worth a try. Of course you might have to buy an iPhone too but even so!

Hope this helps ( but don't blame me if it doesn't ! 😂

Hello.  Go on line and look at Hearing  direct UK.   I have 2 aids because i could not afford to buy jn Spain.   They have a varied price range.  I was dubious so bought 2 at  £199.00 each.  Their audiologist is called Joan McKechnie and is very helpful.  I had my ears tested through the hospital and sent the results via scan to the company who programmed the aids  to suit the graphs.  They also reprogrammed them  for me foc this year after further tests showed my hearing had deteriorated.  I highly recommend them.  Their back up is also very good.   You can pay as much or as little as you want.  Give them a try and look them up.  Good luck.
