Ha ok no probs....but you don't know if you don't ask :)

Believe me the Kebabs are a once in a blue moon treat, I have a Turkish friend and I know the cooking process so not a good idea for a staple meal :)

What kind of quick food establishments can we find in Vera Playa/Garrucha? I know there is a mobile hamburger place that's on the front by the Laguna now and again. Sometimes we just don't feel like a sit down restaurant meal.

Every now and then us young folk,,,,no offence intended.....just need a damn good burger or pizza!!!

Is that chip shop still open in Garrucha?

I’m not too sure about Garrucha - we go there for the market and stop at one of the Cafes on the seafront for a coffee etc.

Vera has a damn fine Pizza Bar just down from Maxi Día and further up a place that does Kebabs and Indian food and of course the Wok restaurant where you can eat all you want Chinese food for 10€

Plenty of Cafes in both Vera and Garrucha that do Tapas and tostadas and burgers - including the Cactus Bar on Bouganvillia roundabout at Vera Playa which does great burgers.

There is also Karens Sports Bar at Valle del Este which does the full English requirement of chips etc.

Not really had much time to visit Vera yet. Just a trip to the bank and the solicitors and a quick visit to the to the town square. It does look like a nice place though and we will definitely be spending some time there exploring. Not sure where the Maxi Dia is. Is it a supermarket near Iceland? I have heard people mention it before.

Have been to the cactus bar,its only around the corner from our apartment and the lady who works there,I think her name is Jill is lovely and friendly. Have walked into Garrucha a few times and have had some nice meals on the front but would love to hear any recommendations for a decent Tapas bar. I think the café we like to go to is called Fluers or something along those lines. They do nice sandwiches. Would love to find a few proper Spanish bars though off the beaten track and once we are over on a permanent basis we will have a bit more time to explore at our leisure rather than trying to cram as much in a weeks holiday as we can. I remember the old Wok when it was in the commercial centre in Vera Playa a few years ago and we where frequent visitors as the value for money was amazing. We do like a good Chinese :) Have found the Asian place in Puerto Rey rather nice too although we did have the misfortune to visit it when it became the new Wok. It was not very good compared to the old one. Will definitely have to try the one in Vera though.

Really cant wait for May to arrive now to be honest.

Wow that was a lot of waffle :)

Kev.

Yep - Maxi Día is just around the corner from Iceland’s - just down from the Wok.

I think the Asian place in Puerto Rey has closed down.  We went to try and find it a while back .... no joy.

I love Vera - really do, it’s a fabulous place
