Second hand car.

It's a damn site cheaper than the UK, that's for sure. .. if your buying second hand, from experience, it's around €200 but I think it goes of w the value of the car,  then the road tax goes off the cv. .. I have an new Audi a1 and I only paid €17 last year but then my hubby had a 10yr old Mitsubishi and he pays €96 a year. .. hope that helps. ...oh another thing. . If your buying from a person not a garage,  always get a contract of sale, its your proof and theirs. ... good luck

Hi a word of warning about buying used cars in Spain.

An English car dealer friend of mine does not trade in cars off the Spanish, ever.  Why? They nearly all have loans on them, sometimes multiple loans.

If you buy a car like this have no doubt you inherit the loan too, there is no comeback. The debt becomes yours.

It's normal for a family to buy a car, preferably as expensive as they can get then they take loans out on the car.

Not so bad if you know the Spanish systems.

If you buy secondhand here its sensible to avoid these problems is to buy from a reputable dealer. Then you have recourse.

Rascalmate is absolutely right. Buy privately at your peril. Loans, hp, outstanding fines, ownership. All this will have been sorted by a dealer and you get a warranty/ guarantee of some form and have someone if you have queries or problems.
