Hi thank you I have a lot to think about, I might have to settle for a much smaller property and not my dream villa,,,
Bigger house, more to clean ... and it gets dusty here!

When you are buying, take a few considerations into mind. Is it to be your forever home, or will you sell it and move somewhere else later on?
If it's a forever home, does it have good transport links for when you get older and either can't drive or don't want to?
Are there stairs or steps that will be a problem when you get older?
Is there enough things to do in that area, so that you won't get bored in the winter when it's quieter?
Can you always easily manage the upkeep of it if it's a detached property with gardens or land?
How far is the airport, hospitals, supermarket etc?
Can family or friends get to it easily to visit?
You have to think ahead, to make the right choice, then it doesn't matter if it's big or small, if it's the area you love you will be happy and it will be your dream home.
The life is the dream, not the building.

hi thank you, I have been thinking of these things and your right, I do love the sea but I don't love apartments and not having outside space I live in a town that's very green with woods and the beach is 20mins away, but we don't have the sun much, and I have a dog, I do like the look of Alboleas , La Perla but never been there before, am going to rent first and get all my ducks in a row first and then look all over that's if I can still come outdo hope I can...

Ha so ive heard , I did look at San Juan terrors ,I just don't know I read the new Convenio especial, and it side that even when you get on it it will still not cover prescriptions or give a discount, so mine will cost me between £60-100 PM until I retire ..

We have a two bed 2 bath apartment with two dogs. It's a small complex with only 150 homes made up of apartments and duplexes. It's lovely here. We are only 1.3 kilometers from the beach so we go down a lot. We have an indoor and out door pool and the gardens are kept immaculate.
We moved from a 4 bed 2 bath house. But it's not a problem. We have well trained dogs which we walk at 7 am every day. Then they sleep most of the day after. They love lying out in out terrace and getting the breeze.
We have mostly Spanish neighbours although there are some English, Irish and German people here too. In the winter it's quiet and not many here as most are used as holiday homes.
The bottom ones and the duplees have gardens. Down at the main road, there is a bus service that goes from Vera town to Mojacar Playa!
I grew up by the sea in Ireland so it's great to be so near again.
We lived inland for years but it was time to move nearer transport and facilities. And the sea was the perfect choice for us.
We have friends all over Spain, so we never feel lonely.
We pay about 40 for water every 3 months, electricity about 168 every 3 months!

Where you choose depends on whether you want to be with more English speakers or Spanish. We totally integrated with the Spanish when we came to Spain years ago which made it easier to be accepted and to learn Spanish.
Some areas inland have very few Spanish neighbours. .

Absolutely agree - living and working amongst Spanish speakers enables you to learn Spanish much quicker and become integrated into the community.
