Hi...I am in the process of doing my NLV and need to register my S1....We will have a rental in Vera Playa from January.....does anybody know the process of registering an S1 in Spain ? How do you choose which doctor and where..? ..alot of the info from Uk Gov and "agents" seem to be contradictory....I would hate to screw it up after coming this far! Thanks folks...

Get Cats to do it for you. Much easier and not expensive.
normally you get an appointment in Hercal Overa Social svces offices, they do not speak English normally so you'll need an interpreter if you can't speak good Spanish. The doctor surgery is allocated to you by the Health Authorities you do not get to choose normally. You need various paperwork ie TIE, proof of rental address utility bill, marriage cert if claiming for spouse, passports and anything else they can think of!
Cats will arrange it all for you and make sure you have the right info and interpret as well for a reasonable fee.
