Can anyone recommend: restaurants
Visiting Tabernas area with husband, two teen boys and wanted some recommendations for dining lunch/dinner. Have car, can drive, eat anything 🚗🍝
Restaurant Albar at hotel Casano Granado, El Pinar, 12 km from Sorbas towards Lubrin. Award winning cuisine by Clayton, Rachel and Amanda. Suggest to book.
Bar El Almendro at La Mela, 3km before Albar but closed till 18aug. Rachel is a super chef, Chris and Sharon do the rest. Suggest to book.
Oro del Desierto (olive oil Place) has good reviews, but is expensive
Route 66 and the Venta (something....) next door, no experience.
In Tabernas: 1. La Dalia, 2. Las Eras de Antonio Gazquez, 3. Las Eras de Manolo, 4. El Puente

It's called Venta del Compadre. Great for tapas, though we've never had a full meal there. Must be worth trying, given the tapas. Real authentic Spanish vibe too.

Venta del Compadre does it for me. They have a wood grill and their meat is outrageously good, especially the chicken Great selection of authentic tapas. Good prices.

Yes! Ate in there back in February when we first visited Tabernas. Had some tapas and was very pleased. As you say, very authentic and traditional. Saw some larger meals being served too. In Laroya now and will have to give them another go when next over....maybe October if funds allow. Thanks
