Talk me through the S1 please

You don't register your S1 with the health centre.  First step is to go to: 

seg-social.es on Google.  Look for INSS and you will be able to find your local office.  You can then email them (in Spanish) with your request.  Add to the e mail scanned copies of your S1 (both sides), your current padron, passport (photo page), residencia card (both side) and if you're married marriage cert.  We had to scan this in 2 bits, as it wouldn't fit.  I added a photo of the complete certificate telling the Inss about the scanned doc. 

We then received a document attached to the reply.  Print that off.  It has a barcode on the bottom.  

Then take all the documents I mention above together with your barcoded document to the health centre you are registering with and they will complete the form forms.  You should then get your health card in the post post.  I am still waiting for the card. 🤞

Oh and you also need a Spanish phone number. 

I took an extra copy of the documents to the health centre in case they tried to refuse me because I didn't have copies.  Once I started producing bits of paper, 'Atila the hun' on reception crumbled 🤣🤣.  Good luck K

My partner had trouble with this, we asked CATS and she had her Spanish health card in 3 weeks! 30 euro's iirc...
