Hi Beannie, I am in a similar situation! Had been out in Turre looking round for somewhere to rent from April....found a lovely place in San Juan de Los Terreros and have paid my deposit but had to return home to UK last week and who knows the future? If everyone sticks to the rules we might meet sooner rather than later! #staysafe x

Hi Beannie 1 other U.K. residents who are  concerned that because of the Coronavirus they will not be able to move to Spain this year and obtain residencia before the end of the current transition period. There is a petition to parliament to extend the transition period and delay negotiations until after the coronavirus outbreak is over.

Please do not think that by posting this information I am belittling the terrible life changing  effect that this virus is having on so many people -I have doctors and nurses in my family.

I hope to meet all of you in the sun, when this awful situation has abated, and we can swap war stories over a glass of something wonderful in the shade. I fear we will emerge without some of our oldest and dearest friends, chastened but perhaps more grateful for the things we have left.

Good morning! It feels like the right time to update this post, as I am now planning to arrive at the beginning of September, restrictions allowing.

I’ve spent lots of time looking around at videos and properties online, and i still feel SJDLT is a place which would suit me. I have seen a number of properties, bungalows, for sale on the mar Mediterraneo urb area, and I wonder if anyone has any knowledge of this area please? 

Also, I will be looking for a rental through the 20/21 winter period, from Sept 1st for 6 months. I will be following up the links already posted above and a few others, but if anybody has personal recommendations, or especially if anyone has a rental on the above mar mediterrraneo area, that would be perfect!

I’m feeling more hopeful again now!
