Congratulations,
We are there too and will hopefully see you around as we are quite close.
Let us know if you want any information about the area or Mar Tirreno. There is a Whats App group for the development for news and information that you may wish to get subscribed to. Let us know and we'll put you in touch with the administartors. They will need an email address and mobile number.
Sue and Tony.

We are in the process of looking and would be appreciative of any contacts or information for buying the area. Does anyone know of clubs etc that are available all year round?

As regards buying suggest searching A Place in the Sun website first as they collate all of the main agents in the area. San Juan has a wide range of apartments and villas covering most price bands. This is true of most of the coast from San Juan down to Mojacar and all points in between.
As regards clubs, in San Juan the main activities are at the sports arena (softball and football), most other activities are more seasonal (e.g diving centre). There are more activities further south towards Mojacar as there are more expats in that area. We have joined Mojacar Walking Group that have informal walks twice weekly from September to April.

Hi Tony & Sue
Thank you for the information. We are followers of The Place in the Sun and used their website.
We visitwd again last week and had a coffee at the Sports Bar which was very pleasant. Walk football was about to start and quite a few were playing Paddle Tennis. I've also heard there is a gym but will investigate further. The walking group sounds good too. Maybe as more people move to SJLT, facilities and clubs will expand.
Happy New Year
Kind regards
Pamela

Has anyone got any recommendations for an electrician? Had hob and oven delivered only to realise there's only one socket behind the oven space
Thanks
Hi, we have a brilliant electrician in Puerto Lumbreras, Domingo, but he only speaks Spanish. After 15yrs we now use only Spanish tradesmen/women. We used Google Translate or e mail in English & he translates. It works perfectly. I wouldn't require Spanish translation to perform an appendicectomy and a professional is a professional. Get quotes to avoid being ripped off.
Dr. Bob and Sandra
Mojacar Playa and Puerto Lumbreras
Contact details if you decide.

What must be done exactly? I was ones electrician and still do little things. Can you send photo by whatsapp to +32496060422.
If it does not mean drilling big holes a still manage.

Many thanks for your help.
The power point behind the oven is completely in the wrong place as once it is plugged in the oven doesn't fit in the space so that needs moving and there's only one so we need an extra socket for a hob.
Im awaiting a quote so hopefully not too much
Thanks for your replies if I get nowhere with this one I'll be in touch x
