I wouldn't trust the DUP or the Tories in anything. But, to be fair, I should point out that Arlene Foster and I are at the opposite ends of political beliefs. If Arlene informed me Christmas Day falls on 25th December, I'd check the calendar. But, I would take Theresa's word for it. Unfortunately, Theresa is not aware that the DUP would . . . . . . I'll stop before I sound like a bigot.
A recent article from a well known UK newspaper - Hilarious, I think with serious undertones:-
"Last Friday morning was amazing! I woke up in my Union Jack jim-jams to the sound of a squadron of Spitfires racing overhead and leaving a trail of hot buttered crumpets behind themI ran to the corner shop past all the British children who were laughing and squealing with excitement as they made a beautiful statue of the queen out of happy wriggling bulldog puppies - with two corgis for her eyebrows!
Bunting fluttered everywhere and the man from the betting shop stepped out into the street - "Guess what! England just won the World Cup & The Ashes & The Grand National and here's the best bit - Boris put a bet on it for everyone! you're all MILLIONAIRES!!!"
The Red Arrows flew overhead dropping fish and chips as I walked into the corner shop, got my morning paper and went to the counter. "how much please?" I said to the Asian lad there. "1p, everything in the whole shop now costs just 1p!" he laughed, "Leave it on the counter, I'm off back to Pakistan - we all are!"
And he's right! outside in the streets jolly old Nigel Farage was leading a huge crowd of happy foreigners - Turks, Poles, Rromanians, Syrians - there was even a few English people with heavy suntans mixed up in there! Nigel was singing Rule Britannia carrying a pint of ale and a cigarette, which he had lit up INSIDE A PUB!
Just then Boris flew overhead in a Concorde made of Bank of England gold - "Don't worry!" he laughed "I've cut out all the bits the French made!" and with that he crashed into the ground at 1200 miles an hour, along with the economy, the country and all the dozy nostalgic foreigner-fearing fools who fell for this."

I am holding my sides - they are aching with laughter at this - good old Guardian. I’m going to have to save that article
The more I see what is going on in Westminster regrading Brexit and from one poster (at least) here, I am beginning to believe that Theresa is a secret "Remainer" and she has set in course a series of events to ensure the UK remains within the EU. Is this unthinkable?
If nothing else it's a blessing!

Well she was a remainer; she seems to be doing a great job of sabotaging Brexit - along with Speaker John Bercow ....
Anyway the Government has had two previous opportunities to vote on her deal and threw it out.....

And there is no point bringing the same deal back for a third try, so I think Speaker Bercow is quite correct. :-D
And here again I must admit some bias as I hope and pray this whole stupid idea of leaving the EU gets quietly forgotten. Unlikely, I know - so perhaps I should just wish for “abandoned in amongst much screaming, frothing and gnashing of teeth”
EDIT: just read back through the thread and saw my post of Friday 15th foretelling exactly what Speaker Bercow has done .... who would have thought ..... :-D

Well it looks like she will bring the same deal back next week to be voted on, a change of wording and support from MPs will allow this, that gives her more time to bribe the DUP and her own MPs.
Problem with the issue is that the MPs dont care about Brexit all they care about is getting elected at the next General Election .
No help to us or clarification on the future for us in Spain.

If they are Tory MPs, I’d have to say that for a few, that hope of getting elected is turning into more of a fantasy.
Here’s hoping the deal gets voted down AGAIN - or John Bercow rules it hasn’t changed enough in substance to be considered a new submission
