I ain't with you Albert, but you're entitled to your opinion. I'd have said England has a history of standing on the feet of everybody else.

Nobody ever knows what they are voting for - see Trump. I'm a US citizen living in Spain - no visa, so why should a UK citizen need one, unless the EU is being vindictive. Why leave the EU - because it is a monstrosity quite out of hand, the UK pays (depending on the source) 13 Billion a year; somewhere around 20% of the EU budget (I may be wrong). Do you think that Spain, Germany and France will stop selling to the UK. Get serious and stop stockpiling! The fear campaign has been unbelievable - thanks to a very unbiased press...

If one doesn't know what he is voting for, then why is he voting? That's why we are where we are with Brexit at this moment. It appears that Sun readers are calling the shots in the UK.

We elect politicians to run the country well and not run it into the ground. The Tories are relying on Northern Ireland near bigots for support too.

The UK is losing millions by the minute at this stage, a lot more than it is contributing.  Nissan, Financial Service, Pharmaceuticals, even Primark management are moving from the UK to countries within the EU. This flow of huge future money is not going to get any slower. It's time for the tax paying Brit to stand up and call halt before it is too late.

Hear hear.  And recent developments indicate that this is now a possibility.

With any luck, by this time next year, Brexit will be just another bad dream and we can go back to living peacefully with the EU

Most Leave voters wanted a divorce from Brussels. Quite happy to deal with all our European friends but the bureaucrats in Brussels are worse than our Parliament and that is saying something!

Unfortunately, by seeking a divorce from Brussels, they would be shooting themselves in the foot with regards the numerous other benefits UK gets by being a member of the EU.

The line that it would secure borders and allow more money to go to the NHS is frankly laughable - I’m old enough to recall a time before we were in the EU or even EEC and the UK had porous borders then!

Yes, it was called the Commonwealth and it worked very well :) No borders are leak proof but we had their control in our own hands

. . . and now your politicians can't control what's going on even in Westminster never mind in the Commonwealth.

OK let’s please stick to facts, not the hyperbole of the U.K. press.

The EU is not proposing a visa for U.K. citizens wanting to visit if the U.K. becomes a third country. Are you talking about a work visa? Many countries - including in the Commonwealth (New Zealand for example) do require a work visa. I would think the USA does too.

Secondly you suggest the U.K. pays the EU £13bn a year. Not so.

In 2017 the UK government paid £13 billion to the EU budget, and EU spending on the UK was forecast to be £4 billion. So the UK's 'net contribution' was estimated at nearly £9 billion. And each year the UK gets a discount on its contributions to the EU—the 'rebate'—worth about £5.6 billion last year. The proportion of U.K. GDP remitted to the EU to maintain its presence in the largest world trading market is less than 0.7%.

What happened in Westminster last evening was nothing short of political meltdown. Teresa informed the house that there was a free vote on and minutes before the ballot she cancelled this. And now we're going to have a 3rd vote.

It is as clear as day that the people of England (Scotland, Wales, Northern Ireland already want to Remain) have changed their mind and a new referendum is required. All other suggestions are now anti democratic.

But, try telling that to Teresa May and a few of her Brexiteers. They are so locked into "we've always stood alone" attitudes that they can't see the wood from the trees.

Meanwhile, the retired Brit living on the Costas having sold his/her UK home is sitting worried on several fronts. He fears for the value of his GBP£ pension and what future awaits him. The Brit with no residencia is worse off and fears that if he travels  to the UK even for a family occasion he may not be allowed through the new inward "starting gates" of Spanish airports on his return. Don't expect too much sympathy from the Spaniards as many blame us for the higher cost of housing.

Teresa May has created the classic Catch-22 situation Joseph Heller would be proud of. If she is allowed to continue the results will be catastrophic for most Brits in Spain. It is now time for intelligent Brits in the UK to speak up and for thinking Brits in Spain to support them. Otherwise, you're loading whips with lead that you will be whipped with.

Incidentally, Boris had a sally into Irish politics during the week and when he realized he was out of his depth, decided to retreat pronto. You see! - Us Irish wouldn't put up with him and his cackle.
