Thank you so much for this. It is so helpful hearing how things are going for someone completing the process now as opposed to a year or so ago. I am sure much will will change over the next couple of years too.
I'm still at the exploratory stage - looking at costs, feasability etc, but retirement age is creeping ever closer, so becoming more real with every day that passes.
I've got a couple of solicitor recommendations which I will follow up on. I know that if you get one thing wrong, you are sent right back to the beginning, so I think it's worth getting your i,s dotted and your t's crossed.... I hope you love your life in Spain.
I recently spoke with someone who owns in Palmeras and said that I just wanted to rent, not own a property and he said that he wishes he had done that, so I am feeling more confident about renting v owning.
