Following Franco’s demise, Spain has been playing “catch-up” to the rest of the developed world - but making a bloody good fist of it for sure.  There’s lots of abandoned and derelict concrete structures where ventures were started but money ran out, for sure, but in the last 30 years Spain has made drastic progress, changing from a nation of farmers and simple goat herders into a fantastic place to live, an enviable tourist destination and a nation with a burgeoning road and rail network.

I am saddened by how the rail will affect the trafitional herders and farmers … but to grow and be a modern developed country, affect them it must.

unfortunately, soon enough the traditional farmer / herder / even small Olive grower will be a thing of the past, a mention in history, as Spain powers forward.

...the slightest on their way of life!  People don't like radio masts  but they want to use mobiles...don't like wind or wave power near them but want electricity.....want to be able to travel or get goods to market yet don't want new roads or railways. This rail line is very close to us.... as I have said before we cycle along it..... but it is something we and our neighbours will live with to keep this country growing.  As I said before...Have a nice day....I will!!!!
