BASURA payment

it is in the block of shops to the right as you look at Dia and be prepared for lots of bills with fines on top.  for every one not paid you will be fined even though you did not know you owed it.  Make sure they give you all of them as well as they missed one of ours and we got another fine!  then get it paid by DD so it doesn't have any chance of happening again.  Hope it's not too long a time owed.

What sort of money is the fine ? 24 years here !! asked the rest of the small village and they claim they have never paid anything either !

depending on how far back they can go to claim unpaid bills of course, perhaps the townhall would know.  Seems everyone in your village is in for big bills then!  We lived in Arboleas and paid 4 years worth back in 2008 so can't remember how much it was but it was more than the standard costs. 

Think you will find that they can only go back 4 years but that will still be  several bills as it's every quarter. 

Went into the office Thursday, explained we didn't realize it was a separate  payment, and asked why no one has sent any facturas to us ! Not a problem , we will Bill you from January 2022, it will be 37.07 euros ! Thanks for ALL replies .

strange that you haven't been billed for past periods you may still find if they have your bank details for direct debit they take it from your bank.  we have never had facturas for the rubbish except when we went in to query not paying and they produced them from their system complete with the extra fines and we then went to the bank to pay and set up the DD.  same when we moved to Mojacar no bills until we queried it with our solicitor and then several at once.

Just to be on the safe side if you go into your townhall and ask them to check if there is any outstanding debts on your house.  The townhall can check for you to ensure there is nothing outstanding.  I found this out when I had a bill for 4000 euro from when we bought our house.  Original tax 2000 but with interest it was 4000.  It is well worth checking.
