Hey All

I am looking to buy some fresh herbs specifically basil, dill, parsley, chives and oregano -mexican oregano would be best.

Also looking to buy jalapenos, poblanos and chilli's but not reapers or any real hot ones maybe scotch bonnets or habaneros. The latter two can be used in cooking, unchoped thrown into a mole, chili soup, stew  or dressings.

They still add some heat but not OMG🥵🥵 wheres the milk.

I know that the local markets have spice stalls but all I have seen is dried herbs and spices. While good for stews, soups  etc.. they are not the same as the fresh when used in a salad or as a garnish.

I would like to grow my own but have a limited outside space and as that is south facing it is mostly in the sun all day. Not ideal for growing anything other than cactus.

Anywhere within 10k of Mojacar please would be greatly appreciated.

Although some supermarkets sell some "fresh" herbs in small plastic boxes, However usually a poor selection. I find it cheaper and fresher to buy small plants from the garden centres.when I need them. If I'm lucky they even survive a couple of weeks on kitchen windowsill

Hi the garden centre opposite the Antas industrial estate sells all sorts of herbs in small pots but if you have space plant them out into big pots as they grow very abundantly. I have cropped these to the ground many times all they need is some water once a day

Thanks for the info but there is very limited space avaiable for growing.

Was hopping that a shop may have some on offer

Yes their herbs are great.... and if you ask they will source the ones you need, if they are available. My basil has lasted 4 months..... keeps reshooting! The only herb I grow from seed is chives..... available also from Antas garden centre on the roundabout....
