Prince Andrew did quite a lot for charity. Not suggesting that your man is in the same league but often cover. Saville?  Raised loads for Great Ormond Street hospital.

In modern parlance, ‘just saying’ (grrrrr)

That was a bit harsh.

I’m not suggesting your chap is like Saville or Windsor

Facts: well known both raised money for charity. I think that’s why Thatcher gave Saville a knighthood (as it can’t be for services to fashion)

Just for amusement (sing along)

The grand old Duke of York

He had twelve million quid

He gave it to someone he’d never met

For something he never did

Why has the subject been changed?   The original request was  for villages near to Mojacar. I  suggest you look at Turre or Los Gallardos.  Both inland with health centres and lots of amenities.  Huercal Overa is your nearest hospital.  As for  health care if you are pensionable age you can apply to go on the  health system if you are going to be here permanently.  Forget all the negative views regarding spanish versus english agents.  Alot of the English have been here many years some even born here,  but i would advise you looking on the website to look at the criteria regarding settling over here,. But having re-read your original.message you say you lived in Cadiz many years ago.  Were you resident? Are you still resident?! If  not you'll have to start again, hence my advice to look for the new rules and regs. regarding living in Spain.  Good luck and please ignore  negative views.

s1 in spain if retired and nearest hospital is Hercal Overa but for lots of treatments you have to go to Almeria. Cardiology department is behind schedule for check ups because of Covid.  My husband is still waiting for his 2021 check.

Depending on how long you want to drive to get to the coast where the best villages are.  Not many villas with a garage as well. Depends how much you have to spend of course as well.  Best look on line at the various estate agents in this area to see what's on offer.  think about t...

Alicia. I can empathise with you, and can only say which is at the forefront of my mind right now. I am 72 years young. When I retired, serving my country, UK, and the R.A.F. (Navigator), came over to Spain with my Children's Blessings. 8 years later, my Children/Grandchildren need me again. If that isn't LOVE, I don't know what is.

Go to Hospitalia, Huercal Overa. The reception staff, all the way up, are wonderful. Of course, in this Life, there are exceptions!
