Guys,
Thinking ahead, as popular as pellet burners are, they will have to disappear, along with gas stoves if the world is to limit global warming.
It would not surprise if sales of both these products are banned within the next five years.

Thank you for your observations Roberto. One of the reasons I was considering a pellet burner was because I thought they were more eco-friendly and sustainable but will certainly check this out.

Sadly Carbon in pellets + Oxygen still equals Carbon dioxide and they will have to be replaced by electricity from solar or wind energy

With considerable assistance from the helpful advice on this forum, we have taken the plunge and are in the process of buying a holiday apartment on a small urbanisation in Mojacar.
The living room has a chimney and is currently fitted with an electric replica 'wood burner' but I am interested in replacing this with a pellet burner. Would appreciate any observations or advice please. ...

I really like them as they are low maintenance and cheap and clean to run.
I had 1 installed by Acar Chimeneas at Albox and in a different property Mojacar Chimeneas in Turre.Very happy with both. I have also found a shop in Vera who were also very helpful, think they were Ramos .

We had a pellet burner fitted in our villa in Arboleas and do not regret the decision
It is much cheaper to run than electric radiators and much cleaner than wood burners
We used Carlos Saliente who is an experienced heating engineer. He gave us advice regarding what size of pellet burner to buy to heat the entire villa. He fitted it in one day and was a very clean worker
Would certainly recommend the fitting of a pellet burner and recommend Carlos Saliente. One of the best decisions we ever made.
