WHAT IS THE BEST WAY TO TRAVEL TO ALMERIA FROM ALICANTE AIRPORT - Page 2

I was viewing a property in alicante so I was dropped off at alicante bus station so I'm not sure if you can get a bus from the airport to the bus station or not, but I'm sure you could get a taxi to the station...I've also had a cheap flight to malaga and caught the bus from there to almeria....that didn't seem to take as long as from alicante...it would save you loads of money as long as you don't mind being sat on a bus for a few hours...I didn't mind it at all.

Yes I have been told about the bus from  Malaga to Almeria.  I need to build up the confidence to do it as I travel alone. However, I don't mind being on the bus for a few hours as long as it stops a few times during the journey. Would save me some money.

Kath you'll be fine I do it on my own....take a good book with you and the time will go a  lot quicker. ...I think the worst bit was trying to find the right place to buy your ticket...if I remember right I'm sure I went upstairs at the bus station in alicante to buy the ticket for the alsa bus to almeria bus station...

To get more time options divide your trip in Alicante Airport to Murcia, than Murcia to Almeria or, even better: Murcia to Vera, than Vera to Almeria.

If you go on the Alsa bus web site it gives you the bus times and also how many times it stops, how much it costs. You can buy the tickets online. I think you can get from Alicante airport to Murcia bus station, then change to the Almeria bus. Alternative Malaga to Almeria there are a couple of buses a day that only stop once/ twice and take 2 and half hours, the others stop lots and takes 4 hours +. Do Ryanair fly from Newcastle to Murcia? If so depending on where in Almeria you are going you could get the airport shuttle bus that runs from Murcia Corvera airport to Vera/Mojacar and around that area.
