It is one must remember 'the land of the telly' it's made for entertainment, and certain TV production 'methods' will be used.
It is unlikely to be ''a true'' reflection of the buyers full set of choices, I expect more properties are shown to the people but the length of the show will not allow the full list to be aired.
I used to wonder about the 10% - I guess the buyers do know but the show wants to keep the story-line as uncluttered as possible and so does not get too technical.
SPC used to have a notice inside the Mojacar branch asking 'do you want to be on the show?' - I expect the production Co select who they want to show on TV under their criteria for example X No who buy and Y no who don't
I don't expect you could make a case for statistical validity based on No of viewers that turn into purchases, it is likely to be distorted for TV?
In the same vein as 'Storage Wars' where episodes result in magnificent wins and bad flops every week - it's a show and the average day would not, I guess, be so interesting and eventful
