My apologies - Citizens Advice Bureau - search for CAB Spain and it should come up with a website.

As I say, if you are traveling to your primary residence I think you’ll be ok.  Airports are still open and national road borders remain open.  Despite the seeming severity, we still have people from Madrid and even France driving in to our Urbanización.  Like I say, carry proof...

....

Thank you again Dario.we would be travelling with all our worldly possessions plus a dog and cat all with their passports and injections up to date plus a copy of the contract for buying the property which isv3/4 paid for needing me for the notary plus an appointment for residencia. Would you think that would be sufficient. Thanks in advance

My personal opinion - and please remember, this is only my opinion, is that that should suffice to show you are moving lock, stock and barrel to a new primary residence

I would contact C.A.B Spain - they should be able to give you a definitive answer.  What you’ll get here is more likely to be educated guesses and opinions - usually very very valid and borne of experience, but unless there is a lawyer or traffic officer or some such following this thread,...

... you’ll not get anything definitive.

MY OPINION - for what it’s worth - if you have documentation to prove that you are traveling now to your primary residence and can show you have applied for Residencia, I BELIEVE you should be ok

At this point, if there ARE any lawyers with specialist knowledge or Traffic officers on this thread - please please help us out.

I actually agree with Dario. If you have bought a house which is going to be your primary residência and already applied for residência through Lawyers or other, you should be allowed to come. As far as I know people are still able to fly to Spain from UK as my neighbour just arrived last night from uk as she has a house here. She also spends some time in UK every year. Here is her primary residence.

Thanks for that reply. It is the most stressful period of our lives.we have done everything correctly but the covid restrictions are beating us down not to mention the deadline to get everything sorted out before the brexit deadline  a very worrying situation which we have no control over.

I can imagine! We did the same in September- luckily with a bit more time - and we know how stressful it is! No one can imagine unless They’ve   Done that, the paperwork, the removal company, the animals, the new adventure and wondering if we’re doing the right thing, the driving, the preparation, and THEN the Pandemic to try and ruin all our plans! Persevere! Do not give up! You’ll get here to your property and start the crazy but wonderful adventure which is to live in the south of Spain!

I think if you are here and it’s before 31/Dec/2020 you should be entitled to do everything even if it gets ready after Brexit comes in. The date of application is BEFORE the deadline! No?
