Are you sure they are mozzie bites? There is also the possibility of sand flies if you have been to the beach and, I hate to say it bed bugs.
The spray from Mercadona is pretty good, although it smells awful. Also Avon skin so soft spray.

We are being bitten to death by flies. They look like ordinary flies but smaller. Tried all types of things. But to no avail, bitten day and night the minute you go outside
We are in Cuevas, anyone else have a solution to this problem?

They are probably midges. Affectionately (or rather not) known to all as flying teeth. Sorry don't know what to suggest to keep them at bay.. Google might have a solution. Regards Karen

Well to be honest I thought of those, (memories of 15 years ago), but somehow I don’t think it’s those, but you never know.
Keep hoping they overdose on Jungle Formula 🙄🙄🙄🙄🙄

buy a bug zapper machine and listen to them being fried. Spray your bedroom before you go to bed with a good insect spray and you should be ok. for the bites get a anti bite stick from Mercadona which is very good for the itch.

another vote for Avon Skin so soft cannot remember if yellow or green bottle, that sorts mozzies but the 'flying teeth' are different beasties,if you use insect spray last at least 10 minutes before using the bedroom
Hi we are looking to retire to the area but my wife does suffer with mosquito bites. Just how bad are they out there?

We use Halley Repelente de Insectos, recommended by a pharmacist in Mojacar. It's a spay but spread liberally on exposed parts. It has quite a pleasant smell too.
Someone has mentioned 'flying teeth' how can you tell if you are bitten by these or mosquitos?
I have a LED bug zapper, skin so soft, agua de colonia and i am still getting bitten. Since moving here 6 months ago this is the only time when been abroad, i really dont know what else to do.
