Palm tree beetle
We have 2 palm trees with beetle infestation. Is there any recommended trearment or professionals that could help.
once infected they just die unfortunately. To prevent infection they need to be treated with a insectecide that you can purchase not sure where here but there is a place in Arboleas Industrial estate. The treatment needs to be given on a regular basis. The beetle eats the palm from the core and they stink!

We've used a product that you inject from www.controlbio.es. They sell the special drill bit that you need to make the holes in the trunk of the palm and the sachets of liquid which you attach. So far, this has worked for us but treatment is necessary in the early stages before the crown collapses. They will deliver or uou can visit their shop in El Alquian. They also sell traps to catch processionary caterpillers.
