I don’t share Dario’s apparent religious beliefs at all; or probably Matthew’s (sorry Matt, assuming as you are Irish you are Catholic - take it up in PMs if I offend you) or probably anyone that isn’t entirely materialist / atheist. But why is that relevant? I thin Copernicus...

I am a UK resident. I regret hugely the ignorant and stupid and self-harming vote that comprised Brexit, and this useless government that are supposed to deliver it. If the vote was repeated now, it would without doubt be different (there are loads of sources for this).
Once the UK has left, here in North Wales for example, the Airbus business will move to Europe. The financial institutions that make up 25% or so of the UK economy in the City of London will do the same and most are already moving. Nissan in Sunderland and various other manufacturers are doing the same. The ‘sunlit uplands’ will be subject to massive tariffs so even remote farmers (e.g. 40% on lamb) or fishermen (I think a 25% tariff) will be knackered. I act for various big companies - Bentley (Volkswagen), Rolls Royce (BMW) etc - none of which will be here for long.
But the deals would be ‘oven ready’ (Johnson) or the easiest deals to do; they haven’t been. Unless we celebrate deals with eg Zimbabwe which are on a par with those we had whilst members of the EU
Sadly, the losers are (1) workers in the UK for the reasons above and (b) those that want to live in the EU (I assume this reflects the Mojacar forum). On the plus side, we can fish fish that we don’t eat (so we can’t sell it to the UK, which we do with most of it) and wave flags and pretend it is 1943 again. When we last had an empire before we sold it to the Americans (no offence to Americans) to get them to save us from Hitler.
Bravo Brexiteers - once you had a majority. Now you are ruining the economy and destroying people’s jobs. Jacob Rees Mogg and the gambler that supported BoJo will make a fortune; for most this is awful. And those in this forum that can’t get free healthcare can reflect on this as well.
If St-Patrick had been kidnapped by the Saxons in their loincloths instead of the cultured Irish in their seafaring sail boats likely it would be Dario the Roman Catholic and me the Pagan. Look what St-Patrick saved the Englanders from!

Nahhh I reckon I’d still be painting myself blue and wearing a loincloth 🤣

Nice. See you at some point and looking forward to info on crystals too.
Our thoughts exactly - we were going to buy a villa in Mojacar, but have had second thought because of the 90 day rule. Is it really as simple as parting with £60 to extend the stay? Any other things to consider, like health insurance?
We had a bank account in Mojacar, but Santander took over the bank so we put our money back into a UK account.
I understand that the equivelent of the EHIC card still covers Brits on the continent now we are out of the EU

No, it’s most certainly not as simple as that. You as a Third Country National CANNOT extend your 90 day Schengen stay. You get 90 days in 180 ... that’s your lot, I’m afraid.
The “long term” visa spoken of is the application to migrate. £60 is the establishment fee. Once again, there is NO such thing as an extension by payment of fee of your allowed 90 days, other than by migration.

Not exactly a valuable contribution to the (in)validity of the question of the existence of a long term tourist visa, or the (in)ability of extending a Schengen stay.
Bless you Debra, your obviously one of those of whom you write that think they are “special”

One of the good things about Spain there is no such thing as a private Spanish number plate
