But if you do Jan and Feb June and July and Nov and Dec there will not be a gap between Dec and Jan?

Nope; you’d have to have a three month gap there as well Jan/Feb/Mar and come back April / May etc etc

Indeed. You can't do the same (six) months each year. You have to leave a sufficient gap, so it would be Nov & Dec, then April & May [good choice] then Sept & October, etc.
Or - Jan-March, July-Sept - every year, etc.
Good luck!

Hi,
I assumed it was any 90 days in any 180 you can do Jan Feb in Spain, Mar Apr in UK and then come back in May for 1 month Spain, then 1 Month UK in June, and then start the pattern again. I know you cant always do full calendar months and may have to leave on say the 28th of a month to make sure you dont exceed the 90 days in any 180 in Spain, but other then that you can do days weeks or months up to a max of 90 days at any one time. So as long as you check the previous 180 days you can vary yoru stays to suit ?

It’s a rolling 180 day period - as long as within any 180 days, your time here doesn’t exceed 90 days you’re fine. There’s no specific yearly “reset” point, like I say it’s a rolling 180 days.

Yes, that’s correct. But not many want to do two months here, two months in U.K., then one month here. They are more used to doing a five month block. But as long as it’s 90 days in 180 on a rolling basis it can be configured any which way.
I do get the feeling from various comments I have seen that some are coming round to the idea of spending most of the year here (183 days per year minimum) in a couple of sessions, by becoming residents before 31 December and obtaining a TIE. There are tax implications of course - and evidence would be necessary of health cover whilst here.
