Can't have dissent L181 - we are all entreated to be nice to each other on here; but it seems those rules only apply to some of us.  For others, they are quite entitled to pop up, lie their backsides off and try and create division - probably with the intention of getting the thread shut down.  Possibly because they can't stand having people highlighting the many many many (many?) downsides of Brexit.  Reality hurts.

The Breakup thread was useful - there was a hell of a lot of good information regarding Irish unionists and nationalists, a delve into an area that those not exposed to Ireland would largely be unaware of and that could well affect many throughout the UK.

Is there such a thing as Freedom of speech nowadays ?     I was just listening to radio in the car, a young student had been asked in a debate how she would define a Woman, she said ,in her opinion, a Woman is a person who is born with reproductive organs and therefore the ability to have children.  She is awaiting the decision today after an investigation as to whether what she in a debate is discriminatory, she could be thrown out of University over it and she only has two days left of her courses. What on Earth happened to free speech, everyone is entitled to an opinion on anything and should be respected for it and anyone who disagrees has that right too.  In my opinion LOL,   I think some people may change their views as they mature and shouldn’t be made to suffer for the rest of their lives.  Her name is Lisa Keoch , (29) and was on course to be a Human rights Lawyer , and it’s a Scottish Uni !

I don't think there should be any in depth political discussions or arguments on this site.  It always ends up with some nastiness.

YES!! Marcellos - fabulous restaurant one block up from the pub - the Rose and Crown, is it?  The food is heavenly and the service excellent.
