Hi,

We're travelling from Santander to Vera Playa in a UK reg car, departing Santander on Monday 26th. Our route takes us to the east of Madrid on the M50. Does anyone know if we will encounter any restrictions, other than roadworks?

Many thanks, Rob and Dee

only restrictions with driving are wearing face masks if not related.  the roads are free to travel in all areas except if you go through the lockdowned areas which are mainly in the cities ie Madrid, Burgos and in the North of Spain where the local police may stop you to check where you are going.  Have a good trip down enjoy the traffic free roads compared to the UK.

Hi. We have just returned home from a trip to mojacar from the uk via the ferry from santander. Absolutely no problems at all m50 clear and all other roads were clear. We took the toll road around Madrid which costs 2.8euros so well worth it. Have a good trip

Many thanks for your anwers. The only problems we encountered were delays on the crossing and at Santander. The ferry arrived 2 hours late and it took over an hour before driving off the ferry; collecting forms and taking temperatures. We then queued for another hour or so as the Spanish authorities were conducting a no-deal Brexit excercise. Once out of the port the journey was straight forward.

Hello everyone, we are going to drive down from Santander and need to stop somewhere

Before Madrid for the night, we have a dog, does anyone have any recommendations please?

We have stayed in Burgos a few times but would like to drive a little bit further on

So that the drive the next day is not so long.
