We are moving to Mojacar in June and would really appreciate any advice or recommendations for car dealers either in or close to Mojacar. Thanks so much!

A used car dealer has recently  opened in Mojacar called Alexanders.  Also a garage near the bridge selling used cars.

car dealers are based in Antas industrial estates or on the road from Garrucha to Vera village.

Are you looking for new or second hand? There are not too many used car dealers in this area but plenty of new, as previously mentioned these are in Antas and Garrucha...if you are willing to travel further afield Almeria has many more...

Avoid Flexicar at all costs. We bought a car from them in january and they have had the car longer than us due to an ongoing problem. Better deals on new cars and with a warranty for any comeback.

Thanks so much. We will definitely avoid them!

I would avoid Padpall Motors (Albox) I had a very poor experience with them, and would never go back.

We bought a used car online using Car Outlet.Es. and would recommend them.

https://caroutlet.es/all-our-cars/

I was obviously anxious but they have good reviews and we were spending around £600-800 a trip on hire cars. However, used cars are expensive in Spain.

We made a link with Lisa, who spoke good English and suggested cars that might fit our brief. Once we had narrowed it down to a 4 year old Ford Fiesta, she showed us the car via video, when we could ask questions. Any minor scratches were pointed out and it came serviced and with a warranty too.

They do want a deposit as soon as you agree to buy, which felt scary, but the whole process went really smoothly and Lisa couldn't have been more helpful. The car was near Alicante but we were flying into Almeria, so they delivered it to the airport for 100€. This meant we could immediately cancel £1,300 of car hire for our next two trips.

This was 6 months ago. Since then, we have had a minor problem with a piece of rubber coming away from a back window seal (not covered by the warranty but repaired for 15€) but otherwise have been very pleased.

Thank you so much for this advice. That's given us strong confidence in this as a potential route and if we proceed, I hope we are as fortunate to enjoy a similar experience.

Many thanks for taking the time to reply.  It is very much appreciated.
