Successful antigen test - recommendation

I waited till we had actually used this service before recommending - I got the details of EV Medical from this group and I am really happy with the service we received. Our test cost 40€, but of course that might change in the future  

As we are based in San José, I booked over the phone. The girl was really helpful, spoke English and could give clear explanations about their service (and then when we went, both girls at the counter could speak English). I was able to email a copy of my passport to the person I was speaking to while we were on the phone, setting up the appointment. 

We went yesterday, and my daughter had her test. As it says in the confirmation email you receive, DO NOT forget your passport, as this needs to be checked against the document they have already seen. 

After the test, you receive a paper certificate. They say it takes 30 minutes - ours was about 10, but 30 minutes is really good compared with other providers  

ADVICE: 

1. book soon - we booked on Friday 20 and they were full on Friday 27 and had one slot for Saturday 28  - try to allow at least a week in advance. 

2. If you go in person to the clinic to book your slot, and not on the phone, make sure you take your ID or a copy (it’s always good to keep a copy on your phone anyway) - yesterday there was a lady who wanted to book but didn’t realise she needed it - they cannot book you without that information. 

3. Check, double check and triple check the details (name, passport number and birthdate) on the certificate you receive - they have to be correct. 

4.  This advice is written for the present Amber rules, and the Antigen test is sufficient for return to the UK.  If you read this post in the future, make sure you check the rules at the time by looking on the government website - you can request email updates and they will let you know when rules change
