Hartcjhart. I think you may be right - have we all fallen for an April fools joke???

Tis only an April fools joke if it’s told on April 1 in UK ... prior to that ....

Plus of course Fools day here - Día de los santos inocentes - is not April 1, but December 28 .... so in one respect it’s a bit early for a fools joke, in another it’s a couple of months too late 😁

That was the only sane explanation for the post though .....

OK,I think the point has been made! Can you all stop piling on this poor couple now?!

I believe them to now be fully informed!!

I don't think calling them selfish was really necessary either!!

Chin up everyone,Positive Mental Attitude!!

Agreed think they got the message,

I too live near Vera for last 4 years, but I am in London, contract is on hold as lockdown, no or limited flights to Alicante only, 22.5 hours travel time, start Heathrow, stop in Barcelona for 20 hours then on to Alicante, if flights even exist, then travel to Vera ? by road !!!, not going to happen, so I too have to wait till travel restrictions are lifted. unless I have missed something I'm not coming back at the moment as much as I would like to,

Dont think you would make the trip with lockdown, road blocks etc, and ferries are not taking any passengers at all I looked, and Spain is ranking 3rd in the most infected country's in the world, and your wife does not want the COVID 19 virus infection,

Stay put for a few weeks as you cant get here any way and if you got part way with all the obstacles in place you would probably be turned around,

Definitely an April fool joke but not hugely funny given the present seriousness of the humans around the world fighting this silent killer -

I really hope this is an April Fools joke post. Please don’t even consider it. Absolute madness.

Also, if it is a joke, it’s in very poor taste.

Can't believe that you are a Spanish resident but use the NHS in the UK. Use the Spanish health service. NHS UK is stretched too far.

I can't believe the amount of expats living permanently in Spain that use the UK'S NHS. It happened a lot when I stayed in my Spanish holiday home for 3 months. I took out private health care to cover me.

I agree with all these posts. I can’t believe you are even contemplating such a journey especially after mediaeval treatment, you are even more vulnerable.. We are only allowed to nearest shop and not even allowed out for exercise to walk or cycle like you are in the Uk. Stay safe
