And don't forget, driving from Sorbas to Mercadona Vera and back is likely 6-7 l petrol, 8-9 Euro? Money well spent supporting the local economy.....

...aten by people obeying restrictions. Every country will have to take the Restrictions hit. There is no other way. Duh! sorry DUH!

Let me give a good example of how one country got the situation W R O N G. In November 2020 the infection rate in RoI was around 50 max per day and the death toll was one or two every few days. Irish people were largely obeying restrictions etc. On 1st December the government under pressure from the commercial sector lifted restrictions from Level 5 to Level 3 even ignoring Level 4. Three weeks later our infection rate rose to 8,500 or thereabouts per day and our death rate spiralled to around 100 per day. We were informed of the South African and UK variants which were 90% more infectious and although in the country since September we were not informed of their presence until mid December. Talk about getting the situation wrong. We allowed people to travel to the Canary Islands/Spain/Portugal/Dubai and anywhere else. 

With restrictions being re-imposed from 26th December our current daily infection rate is at 700+ but our daily death toll is between 50 and 90. Our hospitals are still in Surge Capacity and our nursing staff are stressed physically and mentally. And this is in a country where Covid-19 was on the verge of being beaten before our government decided to ignore advice from its medical advisors. 

So you can't get to Mercadona or whatever or enjoy the Mediterranean sunset/sunrise or drive for some unmeaningful conversation somewhere etc - My heart goes out to you. But like Svein and Dario and some others in previous posts I'm prepared not to risk the lives of others and our own life.  Use your head and that "thing" between your ears and Stay Safe and Consider the safety of others.
