If you want a new TV then Lopez have them including smart TVs and lots of different sizes. Lopez are on the Antas Industrial zone, see the map here. I'm sure there are plenty of other places, particularly along the coast in Garrucha, but we got our LG ones from Lopez. One of our forum regulars, BobL, hates Lopez (with some justification) but is also the best person to talk to about the various second-hand establishments around the area if that's what you want, so he may well respond with some suggestions.

Hi to you & Rob,
Yes, we checked.out Lopez and way cheaper than Euronics and by and large what you would pay in UK ,but with a 1 year warranty; here 2 yrs. My problem with Lopez is the rude staff & their returns Policy. Wherever you buy, photograph & save the receipt as they generally fade, & Lopez, & I'm sure do others, demand the original Box allegedly so they can return the item & then probably try & resell as new.
Now 2nd hand I have seen several on occasion at The Attic, Cucador & Brian's Second Hand on Mojacar Playa ( super chap). But doubt there's any warranty. Buyer beware.
Also ln the various local Facebook forums and it puzzles me that someone selling a fairly new TV when you ask if they still have the receipt, amazingly they don't!!!!! I ask you who wouldn't retain evidence of a 2yr statutory warranty.
Anyway hope there's some sense in there.
Happy New Year,
Bob and Sandra

Hi if you buy a tv from López you have to be aware of the fact that if anything goes wrong you will only have your manufactures warranty. López will NOT exchange it or repair it as I found out to my cost.
I bought a flat screen tv from them and after three months it lost its picture, on returning it to López I was told I would have to take it to the Samsung shop in Garucha to be fixed. It was away for a full month while they assessed the problem and sent away for the parts.
There is an electrical store on the road from the bull ring at Vera to the bougainvillea roundabout. It is a franchise for a group called Tein. The service is excellent and the prices aren’t high
I hope you find this helpful

Hi,
we buy all our electrical items from Tien 21 at Sorbas, the lady there Paquei speaks exellent english and there has never been problem returning faulty goods, I know it maybe abit further than you might want to travel but for us it is having the piece of mind that if anything goes wrong then it's not going to be a major problem.
Regards,
Jim

Thanks Tony and Jim, always useful to know where others have had a good or bad experience. I am finding the Internet and TV quite a bit more expensive in Spain and as I currently only have a holiday home I will have to decide if it is worth while.

Hi, have you tried Facebook Market place ??, tons of stuff on there.
Regarding buying new theres reasonable prices at Carrefour and not quite to the same extent Media markt up at Lorca.
Here in Huercal Overa we have a few new shops selling all kinds and brands of electricals, we've used Hyper Ocia and a store on the other side of the main road into Albox.
Guarantees are 2 years and as has been mentioned, keep the box and receipt in case you need to rake it back if its faulty etc, yes Lopez may have a good selection of mercgandise but they have a no money back policy, presuming that if you do prove the goods in question are faulty and/or not fit for purpose you'll just get a coupon or similar to the value you paid.
Medua markt will just send the affected item away for repair leaving you twiddling your thumbs waiting for it to be either fixed or to argue for your money back, bit different to the UK.
