I’m a resident in Mojácar & since getting a puppy last spring I’ve noticed the problem getting worse & worse. She’s always stopping to sniff one poo or another!
I’ve seen complaint after complaint on many forums, this solves nothing, something constructive needs to be done. May be a petition to The ayuntamiento for example?
The only way to get something done about it I to complain to the town hall via email, they are very responsive but you must keep up the pressure. My street suffered the same but my neighbours and me complained again and again and now we have a nice clean street clear of dog mess. If you know who the culprit(s) are tell the town Hall and they will contact them.
This is exactly how Nazi Germany started

Well what I find Alicia.its the Spanish that are the worst culprits. I've witnessed it on many many accessions doing my walks along the player.
Hi there
I'm afraid on my last visit to Spain, Costa Blanca, it was very obvious that people didn't clean up after their dogs, which made walking in the cooler hours very unpleasant. The owners were all living locally but hard to say which nationality. It spoiled our walking time.
I don't have a dog, but I always have some plastic bags in my pocket. If I see someone ignoring I give them a bag. It works sometimes but I don't think they rush to the supermarket to buy bags.
My street is disgusting. I read in the paper that in some places they even get fined if the dog pee. I would be perfectly happy if they fine people who are leaving poop.

Thanks everyone for making comments that open discussion and assist, rather than those who believe they are funny and who offer nothing.
I have now contacted the Mojacar town hall about this disgusting, filthy situation which is destroying the area, and like a previous comment ask others add to this complaint directly to the authorities. I agree from experience it appears to be Spaniards but not exclusively, and it is probably a lack of education and consequence.

Exactly.in 6 years I've stayed there 90%are the elderly spainish lady's.ive witness it and told them to pick it up but they pay dumb,ME NOT UNDERSTAND. As if its my place to call them on it...I'm a tourist lol.
Try picking it up and putting it in her hand or bag to take home as we dont want her doggy poo on the pavement etc, she will get the message, bet she speaks good English if you were giving her money,
