Not really - you have the same limitations as a tourist; you still are restricted to 90 days in 180, you are in fact worse off in a way as you are still paying a non-residents tax of 24%. How? When restrictions were in place here, it was residents only - there was never an allowance from Spains side that said “and those who own property here”
That might have been a UK exemption when travel restrictions were in place there, but it was never an exemption recognised by Spain.
