We are Dutch and live here for a year. First we tried to keep our Dutch bank accounts, but they made an absolute mess. Now we have an account at Bankia and they are excellent. If you go to the Vera office, ask for Juan Carlos, his English is better than Boris Johnson’s

Likewise, exactly as Chrisso50 says. We’ve had account with the Halifax since to 90’s! However on a couple of occasions I have been into the UK branch (whilst visiting) they have tried to tell me that we shouldn’t have an account if we live in Spain, even though they send out things to the Spanish address!!!! I have had to put them right and tell them to check because we have had our UK account long before we moved to Spain. Incidentally, when we first moved to Spain, Halifax had branches here. They were subsequently taken over by Lloyds who were then taken over by Cam bank who were then taken over by Sabadell. Just a bit of info for you
