Indalo Transport .com or freephone 08009993368 in UK he does removals to Spain all the time fully registered and will know what paperwork you need.
It would be a mistake getting a padron at this stage, in any case. The tax implications if and when you do go on padron are to be seriously considered.
Your removal co. are wrong to demand such a document. A copy of the house purchase deposit document should be sufficient for customs also.

Is it what you did
Once on a padron, the tax authority consider you as a fiscal resident. For removal and customs documentation, best to take further advice. For sure you do not need a padron for evidence at this stage.

It is not necessary to be on the Padron, we moved our stuff out last September before we’d obtained our residencia without any problem. We did have to provide a utility bill for our Spanish home to validate the address. Maybe look at alternative removal companies. Hope it all goes well La Alfoquia is a lovely village I’m sure you’ll be very happy here.

Worth discussing with them what else they will accept as proof of address, possibly something from your solicitor handling the purchase?

Ive never heard of that before,i think personally the removal company are mistaken ,or possibly wanting to verify the correct address as even some of the escaturas can have the wrong address,Spanish or English company,if English,i think there wrong,or possibly with the bexit they need proof of address for the entry to spain to show where they are delivering to,,,maybe..

House in uk sold subject to contract and deposit paid on house in Spain. Our removal company however are insisting on a padron before they can take our stuff. Our Spanish solicitors have power of attorney.
Any advice regarding the above will be very much appreciated
Yes we had the same when we moved. We had to get the Padron certificate and scan it before our stuff could be delivered. I think it’s for customs
