We have recently moved to the area and find it a lovely place to live.  There will always be people giving negative feedback, no doubt if you surveyed their areas you would do much the same!!!  Not everybody likes the same things/areas/weather/food/people ...... there you go, come take a look and make your own opinions of the place.

We have a place in La Alfoquia and find it a very friendly community. Obviously there’s restrictions at the moment but normally there’s plenty going on all year round and it has all the amenities you need including supermarkets, banks, bars etc.

Are there schools many thanks

Ellen

This post that was quoted has been deleted.

if you check the dates the OP was in 2020 so it will be interesting to know if they did arrive in the area and what they think now.

Hi my husband and I are thinking of moving to the area. We are looking at property next week in la Alfoquia and Zurgena. Feeling nervous about moving to a new area but excited to come and see what it is like. Anything in particular I should be aware of. Thanks for any info. Linda

Be very careful. We had a villa chosen , paid a deposit but lost it on the wrong advice of given by  estate agent.  Not helped by the greed of the seller. Nice Villa off grid in Vélez Rubio.

You know who you are!
