Hi my husband and I are thinking of moving to the area. We are looking at property next week in la Alfoquia and Zurgena. Feeling nervous about moving to a new area but excited to come and see what it is like. Anything in particular I should be aware of. Thanks for any info. Linda

b e very careful re the legality of any property you look at in these areas.  get the paperwork double checked and use Amanda Oakley in Zugena for any work on purchasing.   it is very British but if you like a quiet life with some bars thrown in and a half hour drive to the coast it's ok.

We have a place in La Alfoquia and find it a very friendly community. Obviously there’s restrictions at the moment but normally there’s plenty going on all year round and it has all the amenities you need including supermarkets, banks, bars etc.

Hi if you look at your replies most are from Mojacar. I have a property in Alfoquia & agree with using Amanda she is very thorough. There are a lot of brits here and it is a very friendly community but there are also a lot of Spanish residents with some very nice Spanish bars so you have the best of both worlds.
