False. Busted. https://www.poynter.org/?ifcn_misinformation=covid-19-is-a-bacteria-and-not-a-virus-according-to-a-study-by-italian-doctors

Summary:

FALSE: COVID-19 is a bacteria and not a virus according to a study by Italian doctors.

Explanation: The claims are baseless and were made by an unreliable Nigerian gossip website. The claims are medically inaccurate and misleading.

That’s a shame

Aye, sorry Andy - although this far down the track if it actually had been a bacterium you’d have thought numerous scientists worldwide would have leapt upon it ... but all are still saying “Virus”

Maybey it is false but it’s funny how they are now using blood thinning drugs and drugs that stop clots forming ....

Not really - that’ll be to treat any chance of thrombosis from being immobilized.  If you’re intubated and in a medical coma for 2 to 3 weeks, warfarin or similar will prevent build up of blood clots.

Never a good idea to rely on social media for health explanations and advice. So many sites get bogged down with arguments over the 🦠. It’s a waste of time.

Hi Andy - if you do get the virus (and hopefully that won’t happen) it is essential that you don’t take any ibuprofen- paracetamol is better, as it has been shown to cause other, and very serious, problems.

You're making me laugh AndyMac. Are you applying for an Irish passport?

My Father was a Scot from the west coast and my mother English.  I did however manage to trace my Fathers decedents back to this chap - https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Niall_of_the_Nine_Hostages

I do not however believe this will entitle me to an Irish Passport.
