is it just me or has anyone else noticed the price of items in the Iceland Overseas shop in Vera seem to increase on a regular basis these days.

Not just you - they are definitely hiking the prices; ripping off the tourist market I’d say.  We mainly shop at Mercadona where prices are reasonable ....

But surely they will out price themselves out of the market altogether if they continue.....or are tourists more gullible these days and pay whats asked for their Heinz beans lol,

There's no such thing as a cheap shopping basket at Iceland these days. We get specific things there, the rest is at Lidl or smaller shops.

Amén Rob - we bought a 2kg packet of ice from Mercadona at 0,69c ... Iceland’s asking 1,50 € for same size .... madness.  We noticed that price of Cordial had shot up as well.

They’ve got a captive audience with holiday makers who may simply find the prospect of shopping somewhere where no one speaks English and where they don’t recognize the brands jyst too daunting, so they’ll plump for something familiar - and pay through the nose (and probably then complain about how expensive food is in “Spain” ....)

And with the way the exchange rate is at the moment it will become financially unviable to shop there anyway soon. I mean.....£1.80 for a tin of Heinz beans......where will the madness end???😂

Can’t understand why anyone needs to shop at overpriced places like Iceland when living in Spain

As Dario says.....comfort shopping for the tourists, but most people living here will probably just go in and use the butchers then smile as they walk past the freezer cabinets.

Don’t even need to go to Iceland’s for that butcher - Carnicerías José is in Vera, opposite Mercadona (and next to our studio :-D)
