First time I have written here, but to put the record straight on wearing masks; wearing a mask does not protect the wearer from getting Covid 19, but it does protect others should the wearer be contagious by containing in the mask their own aerosol or spray from contaminating others.  I thi...

...nk wearing a mask when asked or recommended is good social behaviour in respecting others, on the other hand not wearing one when instructed shows disrespect for your fellow man.

Spot on Stuart47.

The initial posting, was reasonable but, like SO MANY posts on here now, its becoming almost personal with insults being traded. I've already blocked one person on this topic and, because of some sheer rudeness, reported another.

If this all carries on the reputation of this forum will sink low. Some excellent questions get asked with really good, suitable advice imputed from others. This is what it should be. Not a stir it up and slag people off. I hope the Admin(s) keep on top of it. Now, more than ever, I feel  they need to!

Martin.

Don't do Facebook, never have...

Then, without resorting to excuses about being banned or getting negative comments, please enlighten us all as to from where you draw your information?

If you are prepared to present a belief such as yours in a public forum, you must be prepared for it to be held up to scrutiny.  You can’t then say you don’t want to explain it because you are afraid of negative comment - well, you can, but it really makes it look like you are merely saying something you have overheard elsewhere and don’t really understand, but think it sounds good.

So once again, I call upon you to present your case.  You clearly believe Coronavirus is a hoax, you clearly believe wearing masks does no good - Clearly, because you’ve stated this. Now back it up, without resorting to excuses as to why you can’t.  Present it, hold it up for review, and have the courage of your convictions to defend them against criticism, not just make pithy, unsubstantiated claims.

Over to you.

I really don't feel the need to explain myself for not believing that a bit of cloth over your face is going to stop you from catching a deadly virus,I don't think the whole thing is a hoax I just think certain aspects like death figures sometimes seem to be blown out of proportion, that's just me,nothing I've "over heard" anywhere at all.

Starting to feel like a personal attack now Dario, perhaps you should calm down.

And yet again, you neatly evade giving any real meaningful answer.

You continue on with your attacks on masks saying “they don’t protect you” despite many here saying that the mask is not to protect YOU ... it’s to help protect others FROM you.  And also despite the fact that surgical masks do indeed offer very good viral protection - not perfect - but better than nothing.
