Hi Alicia

Thanks for the info. I have seen a couple of properties advertised that say they are under innovacion 14 which is what I think you mean about illegal properties.

I wouldn't want the hassle of trying to gst it made legal so hopefully we can find one that is all legal.

We are Coming over next year to spend  few weeks in arboleas to see if the area is good for us.

I believe mojaca is only 30 minutes down the road

Thanks Mark and rosie

yes on a good day it's not far but when it's busy it's more like 45 minutes.  Inn 14 is a town hall attempt to legalise up to 300 properties that they gave permission for back in 2003 then the Junta changed the rules and everything was still on rustic land.  The land is now Urban but the paperwork is still not forth coming for the owners.  Lots of people have died in the time they have been waiting and lots of people are older now and would love to sell and return to the UK and their families especially after this Covid and not seeing them for so long.  Calle Sherezade in La Perla where we lived has several nice villas that want to sell up but hey are trying for AFOs now as they are fed up with the waiting and of course they both will cost more money on top of that they invested in the first place .  But there will be some bargains to be had there if you want a villa with a pool in a nice road.

Hi everyone

Looking to move  to arboleas in the next couple of years so will be getting as much information as possible from this forum

Expect a few questions

See you all later

Hello, if you have any questions about the properties in Arboleas (all are on urban land and only 5% or less in the absence of a formality, in Mojacar they are worse but, they do nothing to solve it), you can easily get the email from one of the two councilors of English nationality in the town hall and ask them yourself. I personally recommend Arboleas (without having a coastline, it is chosen by more British people than Mojacar). All Arboleas neighborhoods are in good condition, in fact, if you want a photo of any neighborhood, it could be expressly provided without problem and you would be more relaxed with your search. For any questions you have in particular, do not hesitate to ask me or the town hall and do not trust rumors! bye!

i don't disagree with the fact that the land is now Urban but there are still lots of problems on going with the paperwork for the properties which have yet to be resolved.  That said it's a good place to live if you want to be inland and enjoy village life.  Any buyer needs to do their homework use a good lawyer who knows the situation ie the AUAN one based in Mojacar and check and double check every detail of the property.  Unless they want to take a pot at a bargain.

Hi gwyn and Paul

Thank you for your reply we are currently selling our UK home and intend to rent for a couple of years with the money in the bank and hopefully see something in between.

Not sure what areas we are looking for just that arboleas looks good and a lot of the villas say within walking distance to town which is one thing we want.

We will both be 55 and will be living on my military pension with the house paid

Expect questions soon Lol

Mark

Easy walking distance is a bit a streach ,unless you like long walks ,the nearest villas are at least 30 min walk !
