Moving to Spain

Anne and myself are seriously looking to move to Spain hopefully within the next 12 months. We are coming out to research the area around Almeria and Murcia at the end of August.
Ideally we would like to be in an area where we can integrate with locals but also be able to participate in activities such as walking, cycling, tennis golf etc so believe an active expat community would be a great bonus.
If anyone could recommend villages or towns which might be a good starting point we'd be grateful. 🤞
