I can see where you are coming from, years ago I tried to bypass the agents and advertise the property myself, to advertise it on the likes of Rightmove or Zoopla, was prohibitive, I cant remember the exact figure but it was something like £3000 per month, So unless you are mega rich ,if your wa...

...nt your property out there on all the major sites then I am afraid agents are the only way to go, . I was told by an agent that they get no discount from the big advertisers. This is probably why they charge so much for doing so little.

I would not believe a word the agents say - they are all consumate liars. Yes, ALL of them. The one who says they are not is lying to you!

Bankia are telling me to deal with Haya - who are probably the worst company I have come across ever. Completely useless and totally unaware of how shit they are. Blissfully content because they havent got round to reading the hourly tirade I am dumping on their Facebook.

I wonder if a hate site would get their attention. Not convinced the effort would be worth it, so I will continue with the FB insults until they make contact.

As a matter of interest are you trying to communicate with the bank and Haya in Spanish or English. The reason I ask is I have found some (not all) Spanish people in civil service jobs to be down right rude if you dont speak  fluent Spanish, to the point of just sending you away, even if you have travelled over and hour to get there.

I am trying to communicate with both Bankia and Haya - the lack of interest is mind boggling - I am a cash buyer trying to buy one of their properties at full asking price. I have a family member who is a native Spanish speaker who has also tried.

I am getting zero response from Haya - After 17 emails to Bankia, I got one reply telling me to speak to Haya.

In total as of this morning I have sent 36 emails and left about 60 messages on their facebook site. They have also been phoned twice. There is absolutely no response on their Facebook messenger.

I was working through an Estate Agency in Vera - it turns out they have been lying to me about certain issues so I have dumped them. They too were getting no results ( that is what I have been trying to verify ). I trust nothing they say because of other things they have lied to me about. I don't understand why Estate Agents think that lies will help them close a deal.

Because I have all but given up on Haya, yesterday I emailed 11 people in the Bankia comunications department. These are people holding senior positions in the banks communication department. Still no response.

There is something very seriously wrong with the Property Industry in Spain and the people the work in it. I have never ever experienced the levels of dishonesty, ineptitude and laziness before in all my life.  And I spent many years living in Africa.

Haya had to retrench 25% of their staff at the beginning of 2019 - They have lost a huge amount of business. Any normal sane person would see that they need to raise their service levels and clean up their act - but no. They could not be worse if their offices were completely devoid of any life forms.

I sympathise, I also live in Egypt and never experienced the problems there that we get here in Spain. It used to be easy to live here, now its bloody hard work, they change the rules every 5 mins, wanted yet another piece of paper which costs you more money.

Well unless its the absolute house of your dreams, then I think I would move on, there are thousand of houses for sale here, there will be another one that you fall in love with. If you carry on with this one I fear for your sanity!!.

Good luck.

Thanks for your advice, but I will not move on.

Haya and Bankia will respond - because the next step is to write an automatic emailer application that will bombard their server with tens of thousands of emails. I am so angry about the way the estate agents have lied to me and tried to scam me out of thousands of euros. No I am on the war path and I will have my pound of flesh. And I think I will have it from the new incoming CEO of Haya. The previous CEO was was probably fired for incompetence. All I need is his email address and the party can start.

Try and get a 'Buerou Fax' number (Sorry about spelling) apparently they have to respond - legally I think.  Has anyone  else heard of this?
